Just a bit more to go

Well, as you can see, we are making progress. It is sure time consuming, but I think it is going to be great when it is finished. We still have the last outside wall to put up.

Then we need to finish the inside wall between the to stall areas. One side is for Dancer and the other is for hay storage.

The plywood you see below is going between the two stall areas. The wall behind the plywood is done for now.

We still need to get the kick boards up along the back side of the barn. The boards along side the divider wall are the ones going up in the back.

We still need to get the front flashing on and the front short wall. The picture above shows where this is going to take place. Going to come down about 3'. Should look really good after we get it painted.

The wood shed is about filled up with the winter supply of wood. Took some cutting and splitting to get this done. The neighbor's son helped us out with that one. Below is a picture of the wood that we got out of the old deck that we had around our house. It is all old growth wood that came off the property. Should burn really well.

The wood pile is starting to shrink. We need to get the rest of the long logs cut up and then stack the rounds and cover it for the winter. I think this will be a good start for next year, although I think we are going to buy a good portion of next years wood supply.

The splitter below is a real work horse but alas it died. We need to get it in for a tune up. Maybe get the gas changed, may have water in the tank.
The big log you see just above the splitter came tumbling down and attacked Don. He won though. Only bruised his leg, but did fracture his left wrist. Just after getting it working again from breaking the same hand last July.
